NWSL joins the exodus of partners leaving Victory+ over the past month after V+ has reportedly not made payments. Per press release: "The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) today announced that it has terminated its media rights agreement with Victory+, effective immediately."

Full NWSL, not just Bay FC. The league is fully dropping Victory+ (as are several other teams it has deals with, it's totally collapsing)

You know, in the midst of all this FIFA stuff, I do think it'd be more fun to have a global Nations League instead of each confed doing their own thing. Tier every nation in the world into leagues and groups within them, and do a long-form World Cup over the course of four years.

I hope so. My fear is that money is enticing enough to the smaller nations that you can't build a consensus and that prevents any real stand. Off revenues, I'd say everyone from that $38M barrier down would see that money as enticing.

The top-end, maybe even top-half Euro nations will be against it because the money isn't much to them. The bottom-half? Eh, if you're Kosovo or Malta, this effectively doubles your revenues. That's tempting. It's just a matter of whether enough fall on that side to prevent a true UEFA stand or not.

The entire FIFA Enterprise charade will have obvious battle-lines. CAF, AFC, and OFC will be fully in support because money. Everyone outside of maaaaybe U.S., Mexico, Canada in Concacaf will support it because money. Same for Conmebol minus maybe Brazil/Argentina. It'll be all down to UEFA.
