I hate to use the term nowadays because of how it (fittingly) got reappropriated and weaponized by said abuser types, but it's classic DARVO, and its *exhausting *

You know something that I keep coming back to? Liz Cheney became the unforgivable millstone around Kamala Harris's neck for the sin of agreeing with Harris on something, for which Harris got treated as if she gave the store away to Cheney. But folks crossing the aisle for MTG and MAHA? All good!

There's very much a thing of "giving you something you didn't know you wanted". A lot of us can be bad about pushing out of our boxes and if word of mouth doesn't work, having the different forced upon you end up the only way people experience anything outside of said comfy box

Even as they report his awful poll numbers, they treat him as if his fantasy poll numbers were real instead.

Meanwhile, you have those same folks *downplaying* the great evils of players like the GOP, Russia, etc. and either treating them as unblameable acts of god at best, or secret anti-establishment superheroes at worst.

The main issue is "things they are actually doing". Folks are rage-huffing so much that they need to take targets that have legitimate things to criticize and harp on them for, and imbue them with even more exaggerated powers and crimes to turn them into the Biggest Super-Evil of All Time

My thought for any movie that has "Wolverine" properly introduced to the MCU outside of D&W would go. "I'm retired." "But we need..." "...HEY KID, YOU READY YET?" "But we were told..." "I know what you want. Logan is retired...but what you need is Wolverine." Cut to Laura coming down in full suit.

Incineroar is a cool heel who loved the fans who love him despite being a heel. Of course he'd be friendly outside of a battle, he's a post-kayfabe wrestler

I don't necessarily agree, but there's definitely a context it needs, just like DEI, before you can use it sincerely, and I think the problem has mostly come from folks using it with contempt and irony. That there is how the right's reappropriation took root like how "DEI" came to mean "unqualified"
