Former Ukrainian defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov said he was dismissed because of his efforts to overhaul the military procurement system in his most explicit comments yet on what prompted his sacking.
Russian missiles and attack drones targeted 10 Ukrainian cities, including the capital of Kyiv, Zelenskyy’s hometown of Kryvyi Rih and Lviv in the west. Poland scrambled fighter jets after “radars detected an unidentified object” in its airspace, the country’s Armed Forces Operational Command said.

The Ukrainian president’s advisers and a person close to the Trump administration said today's meeting in the Oval Office offered Zelenskyy his best chance since Trump began his second term to secure fresh military backing and revive efforts to end Russia’s full-scale war.
