What have historians of sexuality had to say about the apparent normalisation in popular culture of sexual assault of underage teenage girls in late twentieth century Britain? What happened in the 1970s and 80s? And what then happened to make this rightly seem appalling?

I really don’t like how the secularist, and a lesser extent, humanist movement have tried to revive the terminology of ‘freethought.’ It only made sense in the past when there was a majority religious culture which wanted to control freedom of expression. For humanists, what does it mean now?

Today’s news includes an archive collection to be broken up and contents sold at auction, and academics to be laid off and replaced by hallucinating plagiarism machines. What a time to be alive.
