A somewhat left-field pick for my next RPG: Final Fantasy Dimensions I'm not a fan of the ATB system, but 4 and 5 are the next mainline FF games I have lined up, so this is practice.

That's it for Final Fantasy II. Sorry to say that I think this is a bad game. The presentation is an impressive leap over the first game, but the gameplay and dungeon design feels like a huge miss. Safe to say this will never be on BGHOF because of how much of a slog it is.

I think my goal as I approach the end of Final Fantasy 2 is to destroy it through excessive grinding.

Is there any reason, even with the Pixel Remaster, that I should bother playing through Final Fantasy II? I don't think I've ever heard anything good about actually playing it.
