Thank you to @jaketobin.bsky.social for the amazing poster and for flawlessly integrating the original poster’s design into our new one! Love how he was able to weave the beach shoreline into church street.

While Gay Picnic Day was originally at Hanlan’s Beach, it has been severely eroded. With Church St pedestrianized, we thought this would be a perfect opportunity to continue queering public space & further build a sense of community. We drew inspiration from the original poster from 1971 ⬇️ (2/2)

She’s definitely from the old guard Green Party “conservatives who recycle” Hell, she even hates homeless people more than trees. She would rather put concrete blocks on top of tree roots than see someone sleep there. But then the next seconds she cites protecting trees when fighting new housing
