I wasn't mean or anything, I just won't vote for MGP in the primary and said as much b/c of her track record across issues I care about. The canvasser understood and said that honestly they don't align with MGP either but think she represents our districts interests best and I was like

its definitely worth reaching out to your city council reps and local parks and maintenance, chances are the only folks that reach out to them are the people that complained about it getting wild if you search for local "ecological site restoration" groups they tend to have resources to help :D

for the record i am pro wild habitat zones but they need to be planned and maintained that way rather than just feral growth it may not be suburban maliciousness so much as clearing "overgrown" unmanaged areas is a part of vector control (ticks, fleas, rats, mosquitoes) and fire prevention
