one of the creators I spoke to had thoughts on the other layer at play here, which is that some ASMRtists do have NSFW accounts, because of the way sensuality and sexuality are conflated by male audiences. ASMR has been fetishized for a decade; some creators decide to follow the money

YT spox told me they want to be clear on why creators were banned. it's the links out to other site that contain "sexually gratifying" content, not their content ON YOUTUBE. I had some follow up questions:

this is fucked on a few levels. first, the violation isn't with content hosted on YouTube itself, but has to do with linking out to "sexually gratifying" content on other platforms, often using aggregators like Linktree. SWers are very familiar with this; IG is notoriously strict about it, too

if you make art of any kind, express yourself for an audience of others in any way, you are a pornographer. you arent next, you're part of it now.

I am back in Greenland with our little red sail boats. This was taken a few days ago.

A touch of colour on a rainy afternoon in the Dolomites, Italy.

Earlier this month I had the opportunity to work with Elsi, this beautiful red-sailed ship. It looked so tiny in between the massive icebergs of Greenland.

This is one of the things that scares me most about AI. Its literally a drug. Its designed to suck you off at every possible opportunity. Even a little bit of use for "research" can quickly spiral into full blown psychosis.
