The camera work and cinematography in Touch of Evil alone surpasses pretty much any of his scifi movies. An absolute film noir gem!👌🏾 It's not his best performance, miscast to be honest, but the film remains outstanding.

The Dead Zone (1983) Christopher Walken has the power to see the future of anyone he touches. He shakes the hand of Martin Sheen who is running for President and sees the future of utter world destruction he will bring about if he wins.

He's been in some absolute classic Hollywood greats, Khartoum with Laurence Olivier, Cecil B DeMile's Greatest Show on Earth, Orsen Welles' brilliant Touch of Evil. These are far superior movies to his scifi flicks, of which Planet of the Apes is the most stand out for its jaw dropping final scene.

For me his greatest movie remains Ben Hur by a mile, a true epic in every sense of the word, and his performance deservedly won him an Oscar. Arguably his performance in The Agony and the Ecstasy was even better, as well as El Cid and the Ten Commandments. All far greater than his fun scifi movies.

Terrible adaptation of a great book, but a highly entertaining with a fantastic score by Ron Grainer which I've played 10x more than I've watched the movie. 1964's Last Man on Earth is the most accurate version, yet 2007's I Am Legend is the only one to use the proper title but without the vampires.

He was convicted of financial fraud, campaign finance violations. He stole box loads of top secret documents, he was convicted of rape and defamation, he tried to rig election results, he led an insurrection to prevent the peaceful transfer of power, and his pedophile past is in the Epstein files.

Along with Stand By Me (1986), it's among the very best of the many hit & miss Stephen King movie adaptations.

None of the trilogies followed a prewritten plan. Each movie was officially written from scratch after the previous was released. Each time real life issues and writers GL picked, shaped each film in a very make it up as you go scenario. He had notes for about 12 films, he didn't follow them much..

Excellent book adaptation, helps that the screenplay was also written by the author of the original book. Was remade 7 years later by Matt Reeves (The Batman) as "Let Me In". A serviceable, but not very inspired remake at that. But the 2022 TV series reimagined it well enough to stand on its own.

One movie pulled almost a billion worldwide to make that happen. One Marvel movie making money where all other recent Marvel films, superhero films, and the majority of cinema releases all failed to remotely rival the heights of pre-pandemic box office in 6 years! Not every studio has a Spiderman!

I'm betting he hates Mondays..

That 2nd season was an absolute joy. They can't make a 3rd season soon enough!

What I learned from that interview..

Lol, seriously DC, just call it a day. Spiderman has done more box office in just a mere 3 days, than both new DCU movies combined in their entire run worldwide! In fact, it made more domestically than Superman did for its entire domestic run, in just a weekend! Stick to TV shows & Animated films.

Easily my 2nd favourite Lee Marvin performance, after his Oscar winner for Cat Ballou. The best of the Donald Westlake books based on the criminal "Parker", there have been many other adaptations of those books, and annoyingly they all change his name, except 2013's Parker, and 2025's Play Dirty.
