Day one of the #sealeychallenge - reading a poetry book each day in August. I kicked off the challenge with the fabulous ‘Little Bitch’ by Ellora Sutton. Here’s one of my favourite poems from the collection. @vervepoetrypress.bsky.social

On Wednesday 22 July at 7.00pm, I’ll be taking part in an online reading with the wonderful Ali Isaac and Opt Indie Books. Ali and I will be in conversation, discussing how writing can help us live through loss, care, and change. Hope to see you there! Tickets can be booked via the link below 👇
This week, I’ve been reading Erica Hesketh’s beautiful new pamphlet, ‘To an Unknown Receiver: Sonnets & Cascades’. The book contains a series of sonnets, which are then used to form a set of cascades, each made from the first line of one sonnet, the second line of another, the third of another, etc.
Thank you @vocebooks.bsky.social for making ‘The Way the Water Held Me’ one of your books of the month. It’s in very good company!

I’m a massive fan of @atriumpoetry.bsky.social - not only do they publish excellent poetry, but they were also the first magazine to publish my work ❤️🙏 So it’s an honour that ‘The Way the Water Held Me’ has been chosen as their featured publication for July/August. Thank you, Claire and Holly!
