actually I don't think I ever posted the patch notes for the small patch we dropped Thursday night on here. we buffed some of Jenny's weaker moves, improved gamepad support, and fixed some important bugs. more patch stuff coming early next week! store.steampowered.com/news/app/418...

It's not just you, I've had 3 reports of this over the past few months, all with different gamepads. I've got some other ideas for solutions, but they're longer-term and involve integrating Steam Input directly into the game. I figure if that doesn't solve the problem it's above my pay grade.

shit! well, I'm very sorry for the trouble. If I can come up with something else, I'll let you & others with gamepad issues know. That'll probably be a next-week-or-later thing, though.

Playing the game Jenny the Witch last night, and hadn't realised it was a side game to the upcoming Steel Carnelian which I had been looking forward to for a while now.

if this works, the controls will probably still be messed up and will need manual rebinding, but they will be rebindable. Fingers crossed!

OK, I've pushed the patch to a beta branch. To access the branch, go to Properties/Betas and enter the beta password "walpurgisnacht."

I've got one more idea that might resolve it - there's an "Unknown Controller" profile that's not set up in our input plugin right now that might let you assign buttons & such. My lunch break is in about half an hour, and I'll push a beta patch then to see if that fixes it.

I've actually got an 8bitdo M30 myself (the Saturn pad), I'll give that a shot first. I'm leaning towards the issue maybe being with wireless connections? because that's a thing I've never tested (my PC's bluetooth is shot, I just use USB cables).

Hey, sorry to bother you, but I remember you mentioned onstream your controller didn't work in the game, but I've forgotten which model it was. Could you let me know so I can look into the issue & maybe pick one up to test with?
