Third Kit take: we'd think it was a very nice kit if another team released it. But after last year's third kit (and 23/24's) and this year's away kit, we've kind of programmed ourselves to expect an absolute jaw-dropper. Also the shorts and socks are great. I reckon it'll look v good in the flesh.

This reminiscing about Baresi has convinced me that Channel 4 needs to bring Gazetta Football Italia back. I mean all of it. Reruns from the early 90s *and* a modern update, presented by James Richardson of course.

Franco Baresi embodied Italian football more than anyone to me. Helped that he captained that legendary Milan side in those hallowed Channel 4 days. But it was deeper than that: he was half film star, half flick-knife wielding mugger, who defended with a heavy air of invincibility. Yet gone at 66.
