That was obviously changed when Milius rewrote it but I'm curious whst other movies did the "looks sword and sorcery, actually post apocalyptic" setup.
After keeping my dysphoria bottled up from a very young age and then making a few attempts to transition that I had to abort for various reasons throughout my late 20s and early 30s, I finally did so at 34, which isn't exactly "later" in life but getting there did take persistence and endurance!
