i realized while i was first making these guys that they’re like reverse dante and vergil. like what if dante was still a (mostly) good guy but was grumpy and what if vergil still sucked and also had the like shit-eating grin attitude

YES SO TRUE like the random little rabbit holes i go down doing research are so fun, and same with the reading too because i looooove horror but i don't have much experience at all in writing it so i've been trying to find horror books to read to get a grasp of it

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS <-- werewolf enjoyer i also hold the opinion that you don't need to reinvent the wheel if the wheel is what you enjoy!! in the end it's all just for fun and sillies, and making your own original world just helps stretch that creativity muscle some more

over the many many years i've been goofing off in my various sandboxes i've found that it's almost easier to do it as you go? there's a billion worldbuilding tools out there now which is awesome, but i always find myself reverting to just writing stuff in a doc or in a notebook as i think of it

genuinely it's so much fun too, like i love my xiv ocs but i have such a deep-rooted passion for worldbuilding. the amount of freedom and creativity and like enjoyable problem-solving you get to do is just so much fun
