It can absolutely go longer. It's not a contract stating it must only be 1 week. It's mainly to get people to join. For example, If 100M+ were to join & not use PSN for 1 week at all. That is a massive hit on PS. Sometimes small steps enforce large change. It's better to do something vs nothing

Are you seriously asking that? If millions of people stop using online services, buying games, or making microtransactions for a week, that causes a massive, immediate dip in active engagement and short-term revenue. That's literally how a mass boycott works. It definitely hurts the bottom line.

My bad I meant to add the "forever" there. No one is saying turn off or stop playing forever. It's 1 week. Go longer if you want or not. It's shows a lot of you have no clue how to boycott or stand on business.

The timeframe is to get folks interested and willing to do it. The 1 week isn't a contract. Sometimes boycotts like this go on for a very long time. Sometimes they end exactly as stated. It depends on the hearts of those involved. Like how many of us still refuse to watch the NFL.

That said, I completely agree that a long-term boycott on purchases (digital) is ultimately the bigger impact.
