19. Most disliked popular books has to be Harry Potter right now, right? Also, my grudge against Ready Player One will continue forever.

18. I'll read historical books sometimes, but something about 1300s-1700s doesn't interest me. Couldn't tell you why, but maybe I just need an era where people were freaks (complimentary and derogatory)

16. As I mentioned, I have a Boox Palma and am reading more, which means I've read a record number of books this year. Yes, I will brag about this since I read maybe 10 books last year.

15. Since I just read "Song of Achilles:" I love that Madeline Miller thought it was crazy people didn't see Achilles and Patroclus as gay and decided to make the most devastating 30 pages of any book I've read. Truly captures why Greek myth in all its trappings of fate can be so effective.

14. I always hated dog earing or marking books but I think it's okay for books I'm rereading. A lived in book is a good thing!

13. I used to have a goodreads but now I have a Storygraph. I miss the community of Goodreads a bit but that app sucks so bad. Now I just use it for giveaways.

12. You can see it in the second post here but Frankenstein was truly life-changing for me. There were a lot of compulsory reads I enjoyed though! Yellow Wallpaper, Importance of Being Earnest, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, Macbeth are some others.

11. I have trouble with nonfiction sometimes but I love a true crime or dark history book. The Indifferent Stars Above (about the Donner party) and Devil in the White City are excellent. Also liked It Came from the Closet: Queer Reflections on Horror because yeah

10. My guilty fav right now is the Monstrous series by Lily Mayne, which is absolute trash but wow is it exactly my kind of trash. Extremely sincere monster fucking.

9. I tend to read the most at night before bed, but since getting my Boox Palma I'll literally read whenever since I pull that out instead of a phone for doomscrolling. Also get me to a cute cafe and I'll read there for hours.

8. I guess Mother Goose again or nursery rhymes in general. I would memorize the rhymes and then read the books.

7. There really isn't one series or book. I've always been a huge reader and started reading really early. I guess Mother Goose since that's what taught me to read?

5. I will always try to buy books through a physical store. If that's not available, I'll go to bookshop.org or wherever the author points me to.

4. I will always browse the genre sections (so sci-fi, horror, fantasy, etc) but if you have a journals section I'm over there first.

3. Favorite genre is horror. Give me some dread-filled, psychological, cosmic shit. But I've been really into romance lately. So I guess a horror romance is the ideal genre right now.
