While we're talking about what 'is' and 'isn't' journalism, I think it's worth considering that there are basically one and half publications left in this town that can pay people a living wage to do the profession, and both of those are owned by well-off business interests at this point.

If you want to understand how anything works in this city, five bucks a month to PubliCola is great way to start learning. Also, calling Barnett "an influencer" tells me you don't understand what she does, nor what actual influencers do, nor what words in the English language mean.
Erica C. BarnettKUOW says that "influencers" like me are the reason you should give them money. If you want "police say" statements, I guess go for it. If you want deeply sourced, in-depth investigative reporting by someone who's been a journalist in Seattle since 2001, support PubliCola! publicola.com/support/

Bill Radke could get trapped inside a wet paper bag, to be fair.

To be fair, Danny has to consult an elaborate collection of tattoos on his chest every day to know where he is and what his job is.
Erica C. BarnettAbsolutely incredible that Westneat and other critics of the mayor believe Shon Barnes was appointed by her and that SHE should have "worked out" his desire to travel constantly with him as part of his contract, when he was appointed by Bruce Harrell in 2024. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...
To be clear, City Council was hemming and hawing about twice this number last week to pay for school lunches.

Perhaps being the Michael Jordan of Pub Trivia does not mean you are, in fact, a well-rounded person.
Mr. CaitKen Jennings is blocking everyone. Imagine caring more about your special little fascist phone game than you do about trans people. What is Disgrazia, you bigoted, thin skinned fucking nerd?
