Peaceful resignation is not the way but I think there is a severe lack of awareness from too many people on all grounds of what it’s like to live with these kinds of diseases conditions and syndromes, the takeaway should be “I want to educate myself on what these people live through” not infighting

As someone living thru it I see why! It’s because of the severe lack of quality healthcare, diagnosis, treatment, and most importantly: an actual support system. I see too many people reacting to this care about “life” but can’t care less about the lives these people live I guess

I think the crucial part is the “I’m not the one having to live with it” here imo. It is a moral travesty that we make people live in constant pain fear and misery with no research funding, financial support for care, no potential out. That is why these things go this way

This was really just a recreation of the worst of it– Up until ~2025 September I could not even use utensils let alone play video games grip cups, etc. Still working on it but healthy enough for a discharge is something I did not believe to be possible! I am very elated 🥰

Ideal preference is custom accessibility settings that pertain to maintaining the original vision of the game. But ime average game maker will not be going out of their way to talk to every variable of the disability spectrum to have accessibility settings customized so it’s the next best thing

I dunno, man. It’s just not something you can put into one box. I know there are genres fundamentally incompatible with my needs. But I think adding experience customizability in genres without egregious hyperbole that suits them isn’t a bad thing.

I have okay mobility but horrid endurance with my fingers and wrist. Jake has horrid mobility but okay endurance. What we need won’t be the same. Just because someone can be disabled and play a game without settings doesn’t mean someone with a totally different problem can.
