There is nothing legal about war or acts of violence. War is the abandonment of the rule of law. So it is pointless to even have the discussion. The only real question is whether violence has proven to be an effective strategy. And if anything has changed that will make it one in the future.

The one advantage to the government travel cards is that you don't owe late fees so if it takes a while to get your travel reimbursement from your agency, no big deal. But if you don't pay it I'm not sure what happens. They probably take it out of your paycheck. It is YOUR debt.

What is even the strategy here? I don’t know a single person who isn’t completely MAGA and QAnon pilled who even thinks about COVID anymore. Certainly not swing voters and independents.

So the main reason he probably did this is to keep the bills away from his wife. He still had to pay them. It isn’t a government charge card that the government pays the bills. Those exist but are mainly held by office managers for petty spending on stuff like office supplies.

I had a government travel card for many years working for NOAA. It is just a regular credit card in your name but the bills get sent to your office address. But YOU are still responsible for paying it. You turn in your legit travel receipts and get reimbursed.

I disagree. The school closure orders were actually very nuanced and detailed as to the pros and cons that had to be weighed. For example, this was WA State. Of course at this same time Trump was going on about drinking bleach: governor.wa.gov/sites/defaul...

Also as a teacher, it was always obvious that the main reason for school closures was not students. But to protect middle aged and elderly teachers and prevent kids acting a vectors to increase community spread. Sure, open all the schools without any adults present and see how well that works.

What the pandemic actually taught us is that home schooling is crap for most students. What is the current Dept. of Ed position on home schooling (and online charter schools). Any guesses? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

In Texas (and probably other places) they did straight-ticket voting so a large number of GOP votes were people just clicking the GOP ticket, one and done and not actually voting on individual races.
