There are four lights.

Newsome is the epitome of the 'pro-business' Democrat, which is to say he cannot imagine doing anything except what the Chamber of Commerce tells him to do. He really believes that if it's "pro-business", it can't be that bad, i.e., it can't be bigoted or repressive or fascist.

There is so much good that can be done to turn things around and it really would not take that much to just do it. That is the big reason so many are so desperate to make it seem overly complex and exhaustive.
