I think it's funny that Wall Street, investors, and bosses have so thoroughly embraced AI as a vehicle to profit because of it's potential to jettison workers, but it doesn't actually do anything they claim it will, and eventually there will be a reckoning with the fact that they actually need us.

I was reading Michael Crichton novels by age 12-13. Read Jurassic Park when the movie came out, and then Congo, Sphere, and Andromeda Strain shortly after. Was assigned Richard Preston's The Hot Zone by my biology teacher around 15. Pretty sure kids can handle The Hobbit. Think I was 10, maybe?
