Hell yeah you are! Affine is an open-source Notion type-thing. But it has a kind of white board where you can paste like, anything.

Something snapped in me and I decided to start building a Place for Inspiration again, whatever that means. I pulled out every artist I ever talked about in my newsletter for the past two years and set up a few mood boards on Affine. It's a mess but hopefully it sticks!

Yeah, same here. But I don't really care if I miss out on a large audience that would scroll past my art anyway. Whoever is genuinely interested will go to my website.

Plus, since you can't really use Instagram without an active login, it creates a grating feeling of frustration for the readers who get a peak at cool art by clicking on a link, only to be bombarded by prompts to download the stupid app.

Each month I plug an artist in my newsletter, which forces me to stay curious and look for new art. My one rule: I won't feature an artist who is on Instagram alone, regardless of talent or follower count. I love my subscribers to much to subject them to IG.

It's psychological torture for artists AND their followers.
