Beano Man is now home safe and sound :) he's very interested in his temp diet of Boiled Chicken And Cottage Cheese, but only a super small amount of it + water for tonight he's very alert and energetic so things are looking good! mfer was just about to get his cone off too lmao

Beano is out of surgery! Doc was surprised how high energy he was which i was too lol easy surgery, cheaper than quoted and the culprit, caught in the same spot as the rope, was!!! a black rubber tube, not a bone! thus him being able to drink water & a lil food again, no clue where he got it.

got Beano dropped off for surgery, luckily a low cost clinic was able to take him in! now we wait. unfortunately we're two hours from home so gotta putz around fingers crossed he's done by 5 so we can get him in to overnight care at a reasonably priced place

Benao is doing much better than he was last time: able to keep down water and probably small amounts of food but im not playing with that lol we have a hopeful appointment for surgery tomorrow at noon, and called another low cost surgical center a city away in case they can get us in sooner

we're all mad at ourselves for not immediately getting his accident coverage insurance started when he came home from surgery 2 weeks but it starts on tuesday and blockages cant wait sigh 🫠 no one could've seen this coming also everyone beam love into my MILs brain lol

he has another blockage, a piece of plastic. i'm devastated

i'm so incredibly sorry to commissioners that have been held up because my car, the dog, the cat, now possibly the dog again everyone has been kind but i feel so embarrassed. i'm going to work again as soon as i'm home and stay up as long as i can to catch up

good news beano hasnt thrown up anymore / in almost an hour! hes had ice and a lil kibble rn hes crying cuz he wants to eat more grass but i believe if it was another blockage he wouldve thrown up on his own already. gave him a trazadone to try and chill him out and keep monitoring yaaaayyyyy

groans loudly beano is threw up not Nearly as much as it was when his bowel was clogged, but we're all on alert and possibly taking him to urgent care when it opens in TWO HOURS. (which is much cheaper than ER at least lmao)

Syd update: i slept in my office with him last night cuz i'm very anxious about sick kitties he did fine, but he was feeling too weak to get up so he peed himself (and was probably still used to the catheter) - BUT HE PEED!! and he finally felt like eating after only having a churu yesterday!-

tw for animal in medical enviornment Syd's procedure is done and he's in for observation til late tonight! he has like. 5 shaved bald spots, 2 for procedure and 3 for IVs cuz his veins are weird and the 2 front arm IVs blew he should be all good now, and ALL the cats are going on a UT care diet 😭❤️

well i'm here to report the good news that my MIL incredibly generously helped us cover Beano's vet bill! just to turn around and now Syd might have a urinary blockage. we can't be free.
