@dicey.bsky.social I finally got around to playing tunic recently, immediately jumped into playing a randomizer of it after my first playthrough. this game has changed my brain chemistry. i would be so grateful to get a license to make some tunic art to sell at my table at pax west!

yeah my game last year was download only and definitely was getting way fewer reviews, but this year i did browser only and lots of players reported some janky performance issues. I hope more people try this one out soon!

i super recommend it!! it is wild how quick you can throw a tiny game together in it once you get the ball rolling!!

i forgot to cap the game at 60fps in the project settings so now ppl playing on 240hz monitors are melting their computer sorryyy :[

i wonder how many of these could be improved with a plugin, i've always been blown away with just how far you can get in reworking editor behaviors with a simple add on, so i'll have to research some of these issues soon. but for now i rest. rant over thank you for reading!

i learned a lot of new ways of deving even faster this year, and it's one of my favorite things about gamejams that i always learn so much in such a short amount of time, but now that i feel comfy enough in #godot , i feel like i'm a lot more aware of the things that i would like to see changed

i'm sure there are lots of open github issues for lots of these, and if not maybe i will actually take the time to open an issue sometime soon, but felt like ranting them all out while they're fresh in my head

- when importing objects, i often might want to use external materials for like a dozen materials in a gltf, and i might have all those materials in one folder nested a few clicks into the directory, but the file dialogue sends you to root every single time you want a new material.
