Is it automation when the somewhat difficult incremental process of building something is replaced with doing 10-20 pulls on a slot machine that spits out a shitty not-quite-there version of the finished product?

Or look at LLMs being used to do things like "copying certain values from this spreadsheet to that spreadsheet" or "searching for all occurrences of this word in a text document." We *had* automation for those things, and then we moved to a computing paradigm that forbade it!
