Yeah, ASS has a very flatly coloured Superman, but some of the characters around him wear detailed textures. Meanwhile most of the backgrounds are hugely empty and under-realized.

There were hints and pieces before hand, like Aquaman and Wonder Woman in detailed armour, piping on trench coats and treads on Batman's boots and All Star Superman. Interesting it took New 53 to cement it as house style.

Working on new assignment descriptions for fall classes. The students needed bigger assignments broken into weekly chunks to be responsible. Plus writing and drawing dummies. Maintaining stretches and exercise goals.

It was my first Night of the Living Dead and I really enjoyed it. I think I like it better than the original. 🤷

I can't think of another film with an antagonist who is so emotionally removed from catching the hero. "I don't care" is was a refreshing take. He needs to be lured to Kimble's cause from a middle point.

This definitely fits the bill. New 52 was 2011, which is a lot later. Was there an earlier example? 2008's All Star Superman with Morrison and Quitely again is a smaller example.

I still haven't seen his first one. I didn't see it on Tubi.
