I do find it amazing that even in this moment, the Dems can't come up with some sort of "Contract for America" like language that offers an alternative to Trump. Maybe they have it, but whatever governing vision they have is lost in the noise.

Overall it's pretty hard to endorse the current system where 90% of House seats are safe seats and relatively low turnout primaries (a total of, say, 70k votes) determine who serves in congress, sometimes for decades.
