This isn't to say dishonored 2 had the best dev cycle or was free of crunch. I don't know, I simply don't have the specs on that. But it is to say that IF IT DID, making something of the same caliber SHOULDN'T today. THAT is the improvement we should be striving for.

Been replaying dishonored 2 lately. Game was made in 2016 and looks as good if not better than most AAA games from today. My main complaint is that it could be optimized a bit better. Seriously we had the ability and technology to do amazing things a decade ago and what are we doing with it today?

imo we're already in a AAA drought. very few titles that have been presented to me have actually been of any interest. it's just that droughts can and will intensify and i do fully believe that it will u_u
