This weekend, Team Bohannan knocked doors all across Van Buren County! From the historic Moughler Log Cabin in Keosauqua to the Creamery in Milton, our team was everywhere, talking with Iowans and listening to their concerns!

Ended yesterday talking with folks in West Burlington in front of a historic American flag (only 48 stars!) believed to have flown on a U.S. battleship. I even got to take a ride in a 1955 Korean War-vintage Army jeep. 🇺🇸 Never a dull moment on the campaign trail!

Yesterday, Team Bohannan had a blast knocking doors across Van Buren County! We learned a lot about what Iowans are feeling. One thing we heard a lot was the need for term limits and ethical reform in Congress — which is near and dear to my heart as well.

Had fantastic conversations with SO MANY folks at the Des Moines County Fair! No matter who you’ve voted for in the past, or even if you’ve never voted before, I’m always willing to listen to you. I believe in representing everyone — and putting all Iowans first!

Out knocking doors this morning in Bonaparte in Van Buren County! Even in the rain, Team Bohannan is everywhere!

Asking me to stop petting dogs on the campaign trail is like asking Miller-Meeks to stop taking millions in corporate PAC money. It’s just not going to happen.

Today is the 61st anniversary of Medicaid, the program that has been a lifeline for so many Iowa families. On this anniversary, it’s vital that we hold Miller-Meeks accountable for supporting the Medicaid cuts that have caused Iowans to lose health coverage and hospitals to close their doors.

We are seeing an increased uninsured rate of about 20% nationwide due to ACA cuts, and smaller rural hospitals are the most vulnerable. (The Register recently reported the same in Iowa.)

Had a wonderful visit with Tom and Cindy Drost at the Drost Family Farm in Mahaska County. While touring their farm, I learned about the creative ways they’re prioritizing conservation, from cover crops to wetlands.

Today, I toured the Mt. Pleasant Water Treatment Plant and learned all about the vital work the staff are doing to keep our water safe and healthy. It is essential that Congress listens to and learns from the professionals on the ground who are doing this work every day.

We’re on another 5-county tour today, and we started this morning in Keokuk County. I had an important conversation with the County Nurse Administrator, Allie, and the County Sanitarian, Eric.

To celebrate 100 days until Election Day, Team Bohannan helped launch a canvass in Davenport yesterday. I couldn’t be more thankful for all of the hardworking volunteers who showed up, braved the heat, and talked to voters.

Ended the day with a stop at the Johnson County Fair! A big shout-out to the staff and volunteers who keep everything running smoothly for the whole community to enjoy, even on such a hot day!☀️

That’s 350 too many. In Congress, I will fight to ban all current and former congressional members from becoming lobbyists. It’s time to restore trust in our government.

Under the Iowa voucher plan that Miller-Meeks supports, Iowa taxpayers will see a billion dollars of their hard-earned tax dollars go to private schools, draining vital resources from our public schools that educate over 90% of Iowa children.

Running for Congress was not always in the cards for me, but I believe we need a leader who will put Iowa first. I promise to fight every day for Iowa families, students, farmers, seniors, and small business owners because if you work hard, you deserve a fair shot to get ahead.
