For decades, CDC, NIH, and ACIP have been major drivers of vaccine research, surveillance, and evidence synthesis. If that capacity is diminished, the likely consequences are slower evidence generation, greater reliance on fewer institutions, and wider gaps for countries with limited infrastructure.
