Flamecraft Duals is now yet another game the kid is undefeated at (3-0). I don't find it particularly satisfying (whether you can score your cards and if so how much work is needed to do is mostly down to chance). But when advanced moves are required shes rapidly started intuiting clever moves.

Honestly shocked how quickly my daughter has improved at Toy Battle. I'd been letting her play with an advantage (starting with an extra unit) and not only did she decide she didn't need it anymore, but she's legitimately making my sweat for a win 🥵

My daughter is very interested in playing Big Walk but looks like the only way to play together is to buy two copies of the game and I'm not sure I can convince anyone else to play with me.

Tidying up my shelf of family games and realized we actually completed a Roll+write game!

Project Hail Mary was good but I did feel it had it's foot a little too heavy on the joke pedal for me to fully buy in to the concepts and relationship. Might just have to admit that I'm a joyless old bastard.

Ted has been remarkably good at not showing his age but has been declining again the last week and the vet just confirmed we're running out of options for helping him. Also he might be deaf?!

Boy I hope that's some grade A naeivity from Gary because otherwise it's complete deception. Name one person getting paid more because of AI that isn't an executive. 13 year olds being able to prompt out some slop does not excuse the multitudes of artists losing their jobs.
