I’ve been trying to get a lawyer for a bit now and have probably talked to over 50 lawyers However they don’t specialize in LGBT cases / civil rights so I have kept being denied & refered over to a different one.

Please PM or reply to this if you are an LGBT / medical malpractice lawyer! I was threatened, called slurs by security guards & completely taken off my estradiol / detransitioned and put in a men’s mental health facility while the doctor knew I was a transgender woman for four days in late 2024.

Still need help with this, I’ve talked to a few lawyers but they weren’t really able to help bc they didn’t rlly know LGBTQ law :(

Something was found within medical documents. At time of stay I was first listed with she/her pronouns, the pronouns then shifted to they/them with status male, then shifted from that to he/him. “gender identity not on file” scrubbed ESTRADIOL (ESTRACE) 2 MG TABLET removed from active meds

I looked deeper into my medical records, I was referred to with she/her pronouns. out of nowhere, I was referred to as male Despite the fact I was on active prescribed HRT medications on my record, was openly presenting femininely and out as a trans woman.

No reason was stated within my medical records

Thank you I’m trying to find one. I didn’t think there was anything I could do and I waited too long and I blocked it out of my brain entirely and sent in complaints. But after talking to people about it realized truly how terrible it was, and dangerous, going cold turkey no HRT.

(Two years Georgia, it was also within a facility that had non discrimination policies and a safe county with laws protecting LGBTQ+)

It’s within statute of Medical Malpractice.
