A real shame. I once visited their R&D facility which was fascinating. (Yes there can be coffee R&D).

Oxford Clarion

Banbury’s coffee factory, a major employer and an olfactory contributor to the town since 1964, closed today. Built by General Foods and latterly known for Kenco coffee, the plant was taken over by JDE (Jacobs Douwe Egberts) in 2015, and had been downgraded to a packing operation since 2023.

Listening to the BBC weather this lunchtime and they’re describing a night with temps in the high teens as ”mild”. This language needs to change - that is a hot, uncomfortable night for many. We are NOT experiencing pleasant, warm summer’s days and “mild” nights!
