Very important work supporting our scientific community! So, do apply! And also: Do look at our pretty structure! 😀

This is insane. Read this thread.

“The committee ended the day by voting in favor of injectable TB-500, a peptide that, according to the F.D.A., was initially developed as a veterinary drug to boost performance in horse or greyhound racing.” IT HAS NOT PREVIOUSLY BEEN STUDIED IN HUMANS. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Happy that our most recent paper on nucleotide excision repair mechanisms has now been published in Science Advances. This project was led by @natalia-mg.bsky.social and @callumhaste.bsky.social and focused on visualising early steps of the NER process by #cryoEM. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Glad that our deposited datasets are serving their intended purpose. It will be interesting to see how much the interpretability of the ligands has improved once the maps are available for inspection.

🚀 Can automation solve preferred orientation in your #cryoEM datasets? After automating processing across 21 GPCR datasets in #CryoSPARC, we updated the workflow to be even more robust to preferred orientation, achieving improved map quality over manual processing. Read more 👉 bit.ly/3RyOIGG

Finally. Long overdue. 🔴

Time to bring on some defenders, I would say. 🫣

So when a company steals everyone’s stuff to create their product and then there are no consequences, they just keep stealing stuff? Crazy!

Dawg they literally asked Apple employees to bring company property TO THE INTERVIEWS?

How about an honest train station announcement: “We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by the disruption to your journey, but we will absolutely not increase our efforts to hire more drivers, repair our trains, or maintain the tracks!”

Basil Greber

The London-Cambridge trains have entered the “major disruptions (at least) weekly” season again. Not a fan.

Congratulations, Alex & team!

1/ Very excited to share the first publication from my lab! In this work, we developed an efficient strategy to precisely mutate mammalian histone genes in their native genomic context using CRISPR prime editing: www.nature.com/articles/s41...
