A Eurasian jay with #FoodInBeaks a peanut in shell, Sometimes they sit on the ground to open it eat the nut inside, other times its taken away, possibly to cache for later like acorns. There's a feeder full of peanuts nearby but the ones in shell seem to be prized #BirdOfTheDay #birds #ukbirds

This ring necked parakeet is #HiddenInPlainSight, blending in with the leaves of the sycamore tree it's sitting in. Only its red beak and ring around its eye stands out #BirdOfTheDay #birds #ukbirds

#birdoftheday This is the robin model I employ at home, it takes payment for its services in live mealworms. I was actually trying to take pictures of it landing, so shortly after #firstwingbeat it turns into #birdbutts as it heads away from the camera to deliver the mealworms. #birds #ukbirds

Well it's not a seabird but it is #black and fishing, a crow eating the fish it just caught, it wades along in the river shallows turning over stones to see what's hiding, pinning the fish under its foot before eating it. I think it's possibly a stone loach or bullhead #birdoftheday #birds #ukbirds

The sun's out so the birds are #SplashingAround in the bird bath. The wood pigeon really needs a bigger bath and causes the water to overflow. The starlings seem to be having women only bathing session and the house sparrow just wants a drink. #BirdOfTheDay #birds #ukbirds

That nesting material was never going to fit, also it seems there's still a bit of a territorial dispute with another great tit over the nest. #birds #ukbirds

This is a European robin in my local public park, It has a bit of a problem perching as its right foot doesn't open, but it's very friendly and sits on anyone to be fed. Is a hand a #manmadeperch or #naturalperch 🤔 #birdoftheday #birds #ukbirds

#BirdOfTheDay theme is #Feeders or #Green, So I went for both with two damp looking ring necked parakeets hanging on the peanut feeder. Sometimes I get as many as a dozen turn up, they take over the bird feeder until the jackdaws turn up and show them who's boss. #birds #ukbirds

For #BirdOfTheDay here is a Eurasian magpie having several baths in the rare sun we had yesterday, it jumps in, throws water everywhere and then flies off, only to return a minute later and repeat the event, it does this multiple times before deciding its finished. #Corvidae #birds #ukbirds
