I think you’re crossing the streams! I was referring to the stream of “artists with unique styles” which has a load of not unique styles or people jumping in to everything and saying “they’re not unique”. Apparently Mignola isn’t unique 🤷🏻‍♂️

No one is imitating Mignola post a certain point. Folk gave up about 20 years ago. Ryan Sook only did it for about five minutes. I stand by the original idea that Mignola is utterly unique

I read Event Leviathan but found it the worst kind of event book. Every chapter required one to have read some other books. A real shame as that period of Maleev art is great. I just couldn’t make any sense of it.

I’d like to go back to it. The art isn’t my thing and it was too slow a burn. I’ve heard it picks up. I heard a review that a later issue, like 13, would have been a better first issue.
