What is this headline? Is she just a random cop lover with a kid, or a friend, or maybe her kid and his kid were friends? Was the gift related to him being a retired cop at all? Why does it specify that the son was innocent? Was that in doubt? What's she raging at Mamdani about?

Even states that have "reformed" eminent domain laws in response to this ruling often left themselves loopholes, which would make it easy to seize that property there as well. A truly massive redistribution of wealth is necessary to have any chance of avoiding total system collapse. This is a start

There's no reason why cities and towns and communities all over the country couldn't use this exact same SCOTUS ruling to seize the properties of massive corporations and billionaires and convert them into locally owned businesses and truly affordable housing.

In NYC, @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social's office could craft a development plan that shows how seizing* Trump Tower and other billionaire held properties selling them to developers at a discount as long as they pass that discount on to buyers at below-market prices is improving communities and....
