I agree! I do think it's worthwhile to eventually pick up the cards if its a deck you wanna play more, but print to your hearts content!

A frequent gripe I get on deck techs is that the list is too expensive, which I totally understand. But literally just take out the landbase and add a bunch of basics. I promise you it will half if not third the cost of the deck.

Im not sure who I'll build around yet, but the idea of a sleeveless rubber banded deck with zero tokens or counters that I can just keep in my pocket that is made up of random trash I find sounds really good

For a long time I've struggled with my "Forever Commander deck" I make a lot of decks for content, so i can never really keep one together. But this recent uptick in "Sleeveless" and "Bar" decks that have no extra game pieces has given me inspiration for a deck outside my main collection

Update : Turns out the engine is actually just totalled. Oil spilled out and basically carbonized itself to the the whole thing. At this point it really doesn't make sense to replace the engine on a 9 year old car, so we're gunna call it. Thanks for the well wishes and assistance friends. Rip SUV
