reading through everyone else's posts and i love how many of us begin our comic's mention with some variation of "ooh"

it took two years to get them to meet but now i can finally draw them both being stupid in the same room basically every chapter

like i cannot stress how the site admin/owner personally took time to help me out with a huge problem i was having, and regularly assists completely new people with fixing their website code like every day. he really loves helping people make comics.

At least ComicFury’s still the same good old spot as it has been for over a decade- doing better than ever, and it’s free! most everyone is having a good time. you have to bring your own audience which i think is both why it’s great, and why it is ignored... people want insta group followers.

i mentioned a local event a bit ago (PCF) that was my first and still greatest chill fanwork ok event ever. other than that, i have had so many Experiences :tm: now, but i also don’t post that stuff publicly because I don’t need those vibes here so YEAH holding back…

i'm in some manga contest discords and the vibes there are all shonen protagonist friends encouraging each other to incredibly endearing degrees, and then most of the western indie comics spaces, i've left because they've all been doom and gloom competitive it's been weird

this happens to me all the time in "professional" spaces where i regularly feel like.. disdainful energy from other artists for not doing things past self-publishing, "but you can't get "professional" publishing credits if you've never been "professionally" published"! entry-level 3 years experience

though looking more at the code... it could be all disqus's fault ???

-so it could be their add-on stuff causing issues, or something on neocities' basic side too

the images are only slightly larger than the CF ones: afaik i heard from many folks that SF websites are notoriously poorly built: i'm not much of a web guy, but inspecting it in the console it's spitting out dozens of backend issues whereas the CF site does not have these.

SFX is so important in films... I was watching Primitive War with my weekly movie club, and we were pretty sure they forgot to cut out a placeholder sound? The film was not very serious in the first place, but every time the t-rex bit into something, there was a cheap paper towel tube BONK noise

UNFORTUNATELY I’M THE STORE IT’S MY OWN COMICS… and the people i’m dealing with is the national postal service so…. LOL..

supposedly searching for my books for WEEKS is far less cost efficient than giving me my like $60 back please

i have contacted them about this again, and the guy on the phone made a NEW TICKET with an eta of AUGUST 18. they beloeve my package may have been ”opened, and its contents are in the facility without packaging. so they will search for them over the next 3-4 weeks” please just refund me omg
