That’s half the people still working with me AT least. Unfortunately for me my coworkers have gone on to McDonalds Manager, Home Depot distribution, High School teacher/assistant football coach, and Walmart greeter.

My coworker leaving is going to put even more pressure on me, make my daily workload heavier, & will make a shitty job even shittier… but I value the person who is escaping so much more than any of that & wish him nothing but the best. If he can escape this black hole of suck, maybe I can as well.

Some have gone into retail, some food service, some education, & some are retiring. All of them cite the negative treatment of employees (themselves & others), the push to use AI, & the absolute contempt that leadership has for all customers & end users of the things that we maintain & build.
