We had to leave, we couldn't afford it on game dev salaries. Being home in rural IL has been so NICE tho. Sadly because of inflation it's not much cheaper but I shudder to think what it's like for ya'll still out there. <3 Current estimate is about 90k in jobs lost to ai in tech. yay.

a toilet is such a basic design! why do they fuck with it!? we got one once that had a sensor to detect when you stood and it would flush. but it was on the floor. Our stupidest cat managed to set it off and close the door in his panic. And he set it off four times before we could get him out.

And make True-ups illegal! Between the solar loan payments and PGE's pricing we ended up paying almost as much every month as we would have without solar. Then you get hit once a year with a sudden bill(Tru-up) for $1000+ because for some reason PGE wouldn't break it up from month to month.
