You never want to watch a new series first season. Wait until it's renewed for Season 2 or 3. Netflix and other streaming services have burned consumers on many shows they kill after an unresolved Season 1. Season 1 is a trial balloon.

Neutral Milk Hotel story: April 10th, 2014. Green Room, Fox Theater, Oakland. Myself, and NMH, including Jeff, sang Happy Birthday to Homer Flynn, manager of The Residents. Only catch was, everyone had to sing it to the tune of a different song, all at the same time.
