I've read a really good book on the subject too that gives a fairly rounded perspective on the subject Whatever one may think about Israel's right to exist etc ... there's no way Palestinians deserve to be wiped off the face of the Earth like this. I don't see a need for much nuance in that debate.

I don't disagree. I never thought he was much cop in the 80's when I was a university and he was in his heyday. I think I saw him perform at the Student Union once - he wasnt really my cup of tea but lived in a couple of my 80's play lists - a purely nostalgic thing. Already erased him from there.
