We know that climate change amplifies the effects of el nino because the baseline temperature is already warmer, but do we know if climate change causes stronger el ninos? Basically, is the strength of the upcoming el nino extreme because of climate change, or is it just bad luck?

Thought you might like to know that there's a new study being sent around reddit about aquatic deoxygenation. I could see it making the rounds on social media with people saying that "the oceans are running out of oxygen!" Idk what to take from it, but i don't think the correct take is "doom"
