Apparently it is against policy to bring flags into Moda Center, which I find cute. Trans identity itself is illegal in many places. Arena policy isn't going to stop someone whose very existence is a crime. I expect to see Portland women's sports fandom at its best tonight.

This is exactly what people said when the Blazers were the only professional team in town. Then the Timbers entered MLS and won it. Then the Thorns became the biggest club in women's soccer. Then Portland got the Women's Elite Eight and Men's Sweet Sixteen. Don't listen to Dundon or his cronies.

I just want to say I am extremely impressed with Fire fans talking through tomorrow's game. We know that the chuds and trolls want a certain reaction, but we also are drawing a hard line that their hatred is not acceptable in Portland.

Just like how many straight white loser men have become drawn to white supremacist ideology, deep insecurities drive these loser women to hate queer & trans people. Instead of fighting for equality, they choose to fight us instead because they are afraid of losing what little power they have.

I am a lifelong fan. I remember reading about the WNBA in Sports Illustrated for kids, and watching ESPN the night that Lisa Leslie's dunk made history. I am deeply disappointed watching the league that I love abandon its ideals to chase dirty money from bigoted low-lifes.
