Yeah, I didn’t because of complex ptsd after breaking my spine in a car accident, not info I was excited to share at a dinner.

What are they even suggesting?? That you think you’re being forced not to eat beef? Like obviously you could eat if if you wanted!

Some people seem to only be able to sleep at night if everyone is living exactly the same way as them.

I also once had a woman I’d never spoken to before interrogate me for fifteen minutes at a sit-down dinner I couldn’t escape from because I didn’t drive. “I just can’t believe anyone calling themselves an ADULT wouldn’t drive.” Literally had never talked to her before (or since.)

It’s gravenstein season where I live, the world’s greatest pie apple. I’m in heaven.

Last night it was 9000 degrees and so I froze some apple juice for a few hours and blended it with more apple juice to make a slushy and I will never take an apple for granted again, and neither should you.

Yeah it’s really at that point that “protect the children” falls to pieces. This is about adults being terrified of people who don’t fit their tiny little models of acceptability and they will stop at nothing to force them.

And if you are angry about the Covid revisionism about the first year of the pandemic that’s happening in Congress and on news shows, consider whether you’ve done some revising of your own in the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth years.

The medical guidance on dealing with Covid has never changed for immunocompromised or high-risk people. It has always been to wear a mask in crowded and indoor spaces. People will literally yell at kids with cancer and the rest of polite society goes “oh well, personal responsibility…”

I swear to god, there is a 0% risk of death associated with saying “sorry, I went for snark and wasn’t thinking, I apologize.”

My own opinion, but I think if people from an oppressed minority group say “hey you’re doing something we find harmful” and your response is to make a joke about them, fully ignore them, and then get huffy you’re being lumped in with bigots, it raises some questions about what you think of them!

Can I respectfully kill them with words

They made it explicitly clear to us that it’s our problem and how dare we ask for help.

You should, but it’s damn near impossible to convince healthy people that chronic illness happens by any other means that laziness or weakness of character.

(“Too hot to handle, too cold to hold, they call you oatmeal and you’re in a bowl”in case you were wondering)

Part of preserving the delusion that Covid is a problem for other people

if you are ignoring a minority saying they desperately need your solidarity because “the government says you don’t have to anymore,” it is unlikely that you’re on the right side of the issue.

And are still dying.
