got sent home from court today bc they had TOO MANY CHILDREN to order deported. honestly this is one of the unspoken ways having an atty helps kiddos. just navigating the fucking court system is half the battle. gotta schmooze it up with the clerks? if it helps me avoid a removal order i’m your gal.

Don’t quite know what to make of all the calendared asylum interviews for our unaccompanied minor kids, whether their apps were filed a month ago or 5 years ago. Sure seems like the admin is targeting the most vulnerable immigrants but surely that’s not what’s happening 🙄

The amount of people we’ve had seeking consults trying desperately to leave the US and prevent being detained while doing so is fucked up. Or our DACA “kids” who want to travel to other states, but fear getting detained for no reason other than bc ICE can and they’re in the airports

happy april fools to me I had court this morning but when I got there the clerk was like lol girl this judge hasn’t been here in weeks look out for a new hearing notice soon tho

plsss my dad called my grandma back after the benito show…apparently she was super worried bc she called all my aunts and uncles DURING the show and not one picked up, my dad included 💀 she was like I thought you guys lost power with the storm 😭

yall. turning the BIA into MORE of a DHS rubber stamp is one thing but making the DEFAULT dismissals? reducing the time to appeal a case to 10 days??? filing the notice of appeal costs like $1000! that’s not even taking into account what a private lawyer charges!! what the fuck
