This will screw over most of the people I work with in the entertainment industry (much like his positions on AI screw over tech and education) so naturally he's for it. He's the worst governor we've had since Pete Wilson sold us out to Enron and the private prison lobby in the 90s.

This is an excellent book by one of my favorite authors.

It's supposed to be even hotter this weekend. Yay.

Things I say (first thing this morning, unfortunately) to the dogs: "well, at least you pooped on the tile instead of the wood floor. good for you, I guess"

I have soaked a ratty old t-shirt in water before putting it on, dunked my head in the sink, and am sitting under the kitchen fan eating ice cream. This body wasn't built for summer or climate change. (or much of anything else, tbh)

I don't need this kind existential blow to the head before coffee. (I've spent a lifetime trying to keep a rein on my natural cynicism. This has become more difficult at an exponentially increasing rate in the last ten years.)

This "inter-net" thing has some very strange people.

Me: okay, I have a bunch of things to get done today My brain: what if depression instead?

Please stop trying to gamify reading to sell me more books. You couldn't get me to stop reading with a brick, and I already spend too much on books.

Things I say to the dogs: "What is it you want, and why are you clawing me in the face to try to get it?"

Really wish "wow, my voice is really good today" wasn't one of my tells for hypomania.
