The last time I tried to figure the rules, I believe I read that I had to start a separate account in every EU country I sold to, and file quarterly reports on sales even if no sales were made. That broke me. I am too old for that.

It was my impression that certain platforms - Ebay? Etsy? - might act in this role for items sold on the platform, but I never learned for sure. Or perhaps EU policy has evolved since then. It’s too risky to playtest the system.

There seem to be a lot of issues around VAT and packaging law that I don’t understand, and our new tariffs aren’t helping. I’m just selling to US addresses right now, for fear that I could accidentally do a crime trying to ship into the EU.

Artists need *somewhere* decent to sell online, and art collectors would probably like to have an art market where they could trust the art. Me, I wouldn’t mind a platform that would make it possible to sell to collectors in the EU.

Mind you, right now the studio floor is covered with trays. But, it's better than wrangling individual brushes and pencil cups and paint tubes and erasers, so I cope.

Works fine until I start mixing up pencils and watercolor, or watercolor and gouache. But until then, it helps! 2/2 #artistlife

Spooky always helps. There needs to be a story somewhere, or the picture is just visual noise.

FYI, my gouache selection consists of a cheap starter box from Artist & Craftsman Supply, and a handful of tubes my partner tried out over a decade ago and hasn’t used since, none of which are in my regular palette. Art *is* an adventure !

this is turning into a three way tussle between all the yellows, some weird little Holbein red called Red Flame and a mid-value cobalt blue i’ve never used before. It makes its own sense after a while.

You’re gonna want to go to the game designers on that. I just draw pictures.
