Very excited to see the first chapter of my PhD out on bioRxiv! It began as a rotation project and became a pivotal part of my PhD on beetles, adding a complementary macroevolutionary perspective to my second chapter on early-stage speciation in Indonesian herbivorous ladybird beetles.

Out now in @ecol-evol.bsky.social . An article doi.org/10.1002/ece3... based on my undergrad thesis at Biology Dept., IPB University, Indonesia, almost six years ago. It asks how quickly additional RI barriers evolve when extremely divergent host-plant specialisation exists among 🐞 host races.

The Evolution of Reproductive Isolation Beyond a Strong First Barrier in Speciation Between Micro‐Allopatric Host Races of a Phytophagous Ladybird Beetle, <fi>Henosepilachna diekei</fi>Reproductive isolation often accumulates unevenly during speciation, but when an early ecological barrier such as host-associated habitat isolation is already very strong, it remains unclear whether,...doi.org
